Effective 26 March 2017, qualifying Indian nationals will be able to enter Peru visa-free for business or tourism, for one or more stays totalling up to 180 days per year.
To qualify, Indian nationals must hold permanent residence or a visa valid for at least six months for Australia, Canada, the United Kingdom, the United States or a Schengen Area country.
This visa exemption scheme was established by Decree No. 006-2017-RE, which was published on 6 March 2017.
As we reported at the time, Peru granted a similar visa exemption to certain Chinese nationals in September 2016.
